Altered Art Fairy and Flowers on Canvas with 1904 Woman's World Magazine Clips

An interesting Altered Art Fairy and Flowers on a painted canvas with old 1904 clippings from a Woman's World magazine. I cut a piece from the old magazine that would not cut into the the story "Boys and Girls', the old Ad for the buggy is from of Sears and Roebuck & Co Chicago ILL. I loved this AD because my dad was born and raised in Chicago. My grandmother shopped at Sears and my aunt told me lots of stories about their shopping trips to Sears. I can't remember but I think the buggy was $21.00, that seems unreal to me.

I first painted the canvas with a pretty and bright tea/green/yellow acrylic paint and then I just started adding scrapbook paper flowers and some cute fairies I had for decoupaging that I have had for about 10 years or more. I finally used some of them....................
I wanted something old and had this 1904 magazine, but I would not want to cut into except I had two, so I went ahead and cut up the second copy.
On the very top I added cute little Swarovski Crystal Stars and round flat crystals (of course Swarovski Crystals) I am the queen of Swarovski Crystals if nothing else....
then I covered the top with Beeswax that I melted and added a cute moon and star pendant that was made in Germany.

This is probably weird and ugly to some, but I find it a bit interesting. It's really a gift for a friend of mine in Italy who also likes things a bit quirky.

I am sending her this along with the sunflower card I showed off in this post.

I redecorated my blog to a nice clean fresh look, not so clutter-y.
See those social media buttons on the right top of this page, I found a  easy interesting way to put them in a folder in Picasa Photo Album from Blogger to link to them. This was much easier for me that the directions I found online. I will have to talk about it in a post at some point in more detail.

Have a Happy Sunday!
