Paper Wedding Dress Form by Sizzix, Wedding Dress and Tuxedo Craft Dies for Big Shot Pro

First off I changed my theme and lost all my links to blogs I follow. I never had that happen before.

Well summer is almost here and it's almost time for our 25th anniversary party in Old Sacramento.

I really am not blogging much these days...but I still love to come on here and visit blog buddies and see what everyone is doing and share one or two things that I am doing as well.

Finished Dress with Swarovski Crystals

Today I made this cute wedding dress that came from a cut out dress form, actually it is from a sizzix die. I bought this one and the Tuxedo one to make for our Anniversary party as table decorations. They are actually treat boxes to decorate. They are pretty exspensive if it were not for a special occasion I would not put out the money to buy them. However they are pro dies, so they are huge. There are a few pro dies I would like to have. I only have just the two, but I like the Octagon one and Dresden shaped ones, that would be wonderful to have those as well to cut out large 5" Octagons for quilting. I never did make a quilt this year like I wanted. Oh well the year is nearly half over so I still have time. My new challenge for this year would be to make a quilt. How easy and fun would it be to make one with Octagons I cut on a Big Shot Pro!

Finished but needed some sparkle, Swarovski to the rescue

Freshly cut dress ready to be decorated, used my big shot pro a new toy.

Here is the Big Shot Pro Tuxedo that is on the cover of the package. I will make this one next, as you can see it is going to be fun but not as much imagination is required for a Tuxedo.

Is everyone ready for summer? it is so hot today here in Northern CA.
I am so sorry for those in Oklahoma how tragic all those tornadoes. It's just such a horrid string of non stop catastrophes.
I remember when I was 12 or so we went to visit my grandmother when she was living in Missouri and we had to drive through Oklahoma to get to her house. We stayed at a Ramada Inn and I still have the soap from that trip and that Inn and it's in a small cedar box I got where my grandma was living in a small town called Popular Bluff Missouri. I remember the whole trip and  her as if it were yesterday. She made homemade peanut butter cookies that were better than any cookie I had ever tasted. I was introduced to my first orange sherbet pushup. After I had one, that was it I was hooked and I begged my dad each day to get me another one from the little gas station store up the street.
I loved that town and hated to come back home to CA, I wanted to stay with my family and cousins from Ohio, it was a great trip and great time. My grandma was born in Ohio and was living in Missouri because after my grandfather died she remarried.
Each day my grandma hung her clothes on the clothes line and I would watch her, she had an apron with pockets in the apron and in some were the clothespins.
I bet my granddaughter Morgan has never seen anyone hanging clothes on a clothesline. That almost seems old fashioned now and out dated for sure. But it was the days when they were really green and didn't know it.

I am trying out banners, wanted something to go with the pink car on the upper right of my blog. I found this camper, it's not pink and it's big but it's super cute. Almost perfect. I can customize it. I will have to work on it later. Perhaps make it smaller. I got it from Shabby Blogs she said it can be customized.

Have a great weekend and stay safe!

Mr. Mustache and Hot Lips Using Silhouette Cameo Paper Cutting Machine

Last month when we got back from our trip to BC Canada, Washington and Oregon Coast, I had a family dinner since we missed our family Easter. I hid eggs for the kids and then gave them mustaches and lips that I had glued onto sticks and the kids and even adults had a great time. It was a lot of fun and we had a lot of laughs. Try it for your next family gathering with the kids I am sure it will be a big hit with the kids and adults as well.
Here are some photos we took of our family silliness.

Rylan figure it our right away!

Morgan incognito

As you can see we had a lot of fun!

I've been picking up Morgan from school this week having to go get her in the middel of the day all the way to her school, it's nice I get to spend the extra time with her but hard because I can't get into doing much hopefully it is just for this one week. It's hard to plan anything.

Until next time have a great day!

Happy Mother's Day

A Mothers' Day Prayer
I thank you, Creator of us all, for my my mother.
I thank you that she gave me life and nurtured me all those years. She gave me my faith, helping me to know you and to know Jesus and his ways. She taught me how to love and how to sacrifice for others. She taught me that it was okay to cry and that I should always tell the truth.
Bless her with the graces she needs and which you want to give her today. Help her to feel precious in your eyes today and to know that I love her. Give her strength and courage, compassion and peace.
Bless her this day with your love.

I could not seem to Mom or Mother on this card enough! LOL!
This is the Mother's Day Card I bought my mom.

My daughter bought me these sandals and I wore them to dinner with some of my family at Olive Garden last night, I pose for the photo that Steve takes of me so I don't look horrible like I usually do when I don't pose. I am not good at that kind of thing normally. My daughter Kirsten picked a great color for me this is one of my colors.

These are super cute shoes, she got them at DWS. I think that is the name of the shoe store. Of course I got a lot of other things as well, but I love shoes so this is my favorite gift.

What my daughter wrote to me on Facebook.

Mom thanks for the ecard you sent me. So very sweet. I love you so much. Mom I know we have our difference sometimes, but your the best mom. I'm lucky to have you to pick up the peices when my real dad wasn't there and still isn't. You have been there for me in more ways than you will ever know. Your a wonderful Grammy to my son and step children. I'm truly blessed and so are they. I love you.

Happy Mother's Day!

I got the prayer from

How Does Your Garden Grow

Lizards in my Garden

One of my Lizards...yes he is a  big one, I have both male and female they were mating last week so I guess I should see baby lizards soon.

My garden is growing nicely and I think my and I have at least two lizards that are suppose to be good for the garden though some people are afraid of them. If you are afraid of Lizards you would not like my garden, they rustle through the bushes and run past when you least expect it right over my path to the garden. Lizards feed on insects, spiders, grubs, worm. Sounds delicious right....
Right above my garden I have discovered a birds nest, a black birds nest. Yup lucky me! that bird is trying to intimidate me and squawks at me every morning while I am in my garden. Now she apparently does not like me and when I go for a walk to the post box when arrive back to the house she tries to scare me away from my own house! I have tried to let her know I am paying the mortgage here but she won't listen to me.

I have not taken a photo of the black bird yet, but I will try to catch her this week while she is trying to dive at me. I ignore her. I adore birds and I am a sometime avid watcher of them, I love to photograph them, but black birds are not my favorite bird.

How is your garden? soon I will post updated photos of my garden as it grows.

Visit with My Daughter and Grandson

What are your plans for the weekend, Mother's Day in particular?

Today I went to visit my daughter we met halfway between our homes at a Sonic. My little grandson Rylan is growing so fast and so big. I just seen him a few weeks ago but he grows like a weed.

He wants more food that is why his hand is outstretched like that.

Yummy!

He is eating tator tots, he ate the whole time I was with them. He is a eating machine.

I just love him to pieces! precious baby boy will be 2 in August.
