2 Sail Away Quilt Blocks Done!

It's slow going so far, who knew this could be so confusing sewing all these parts together. By the photo it looked so easy but I find myself getting so confused one some of the blocks.

Well it's not to difficult I can't do it, the hardest part is done the fabric is cut! 2 blocks made. I think there is maybe 6 different designs of the sailboat blocks.

This is what the quilt should look like when finished. I am sure since I already made the sailboat block #2 wrong it's not going to look like the one in the photo. I am making peace with that right now.

Have a Happy Summer Day!

  1. Oh Kat, you are so funny. The quilt will be great. It is adorable!!
My back is a little better, but I still have pain. My chiropractor said to not cross my legs or lay on my stomach. It is hard for me to not do both of those things..LOL!! I am afraid I will actually have to go see a doctor for this, but I wanted to see if Garrett (chiropractor) could help. He is family. Anyway, I do not want surgery, but I would love an anti-inflammatory (cortisone maybe?) to try to see if that would help. I am not wanting to pay for an MRI either. We will see. I will keep you posted. ♥

  2. It's looking good Kat. Cutting material is the thing I hated most about sewing and quilting. I think its going to be wonderful and looking forward to seeing it finished.
    Have a lovely evening Kat!

  3. Having different designs on the sailboats will make it take longer having to learn a different pattern but you are doing a great job, you have found some great fabrics to work with there
