Thanksgiving Blessings Mix

Posted on my Blog from previous years.
Yum Yum!

Bugles: Shaped like a cornucopia or Horn of Plenty, a symbol of our abundance.
Pretzels: Arms folded in prayer.
Candy Corn: Hardships of the Pilgrim's first winter. Food was so scarce that the settlers survived on just a few kernels of corn per day.
Nut or Seeds: Promise of a future harvest, one will reap only if seeds are planted and tended to with diligence.
Dried Fruits/Raisin : Harvest gifts of our bountiful land.
M&Ms: Memories of those who came before us to guide us to a blessed future.
Hershey's Kiss: The love of family and friends that sweetens our lives.
Isn't this a wonderful recipe? Are you counting your blessings?

Ok yes Thanksgiving is over and I missed posting on that day, but I alway do anymore.

I hope you had a Blessed Thanksgiving!

The weather is wet and rainy here in Northern CA and we need it so bad. Thank you God!

Pies Pies Pies, who does not love Thanksgiving Day with the wonderful Pumpkin Pie, I also made a Pumpkin Cheesecake and a as you can see Pecan Pie. Pecan's are grown locally here in Northern CA. CA is the largest producer of nuts, Pecans, Walnuts and Almonds, Pistachio and so on. 90% of nuts each year are produced right here in CA and we love them. We also have a Mediterranean climate. California's Climate in much of the state is warm, to hot with dry, mild to cool summers, wet winters. I was reading about our state recently and found out about the climate being like from the Mediterranean, thought that was interesting.

November Fall Leaves and Fun with Pumpkins for Thanksgiving, Fall 2014

Been so busy since we moved to moms, busy with my crystal rainbow sun catchers site on Etsy, busy with house renovations and busy being sick with allergies. I had to go to the emergency room by ambulance about one week ago after I got an allergic reaction of which I won't go into detail here today. Perhaps another time.

Cute photo of my new shoes, red uggs, moccasins they fit really good. I love shoes, so that is my fetish this year. I will be posting them just for fun.

This is an adorable Turkey that goes right into your pumpkin, I got this a long time ago it's by Debbie Mumm

A photo of Steve and I in front of the Christmas tree at the mall, with a palm tree in the background, so California. This is not a good photo. Steve is on his vacation this week and is working in the backyard now, mostly it's been rainy and cold this week. We took a ride to Reno for dinner one night and stayed the night there, it's a 2 hour drive. We had a nice steak dinner, then the next day came home. That was it.
Tomorrow night I want to take him on a date to see the winter wonderland in Sacramento. It's a surprise. There we can get a nice Christmas photo.
Check out this link, it's fantastic and beautiful.

You can check out my finished home renovation photos at the link below, we are completely done with the inside of the house! Yay!

Happy Sunday!

Happy November 23, 2014

I tried to post on November 1st but it did not work out. Has this post ready to go. Can't believe so many days went by.

This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.

We are finally done with all project to inside of the house! yay! new windows installed and custom frames around the inside and outside. Looks real nice. Fireplace/room divider gone, new floors installed, new large space decorated and all set just in time for Thanksgiving company, family!

I will show off these photos here today, just a recap of the beginning stages and the completed look on the last photo. I can now say this is a home I would buy. It was moms house which she gave to us. We now take care of her there, but it needed so much work! after 25 years of no upgrades to the inside of the house it was stuck in the 80's. I wanted a open floor plan. For the most part it is. I am pretty happy with the results, thanks to Steve's Pop.

New front door which I posted awhile back
Cozy quilt given to my good friend Lisa. If  you remember I posted the beginnings of this quilt and information about the fabric I used at the link below.

Behind the chair is the old top to the fireplace from photo #1, we repurposed it to shelfs because Pop had custom made that for the fireplace top and it's been 6 months living here and we now ripping it out. We didn't want his hard work to go to waste so my honey made shelfs!

Have a wonderful Blessed Sunday!
