Hello Friends

I missed the first day of spring posting in my blog. Hope everyone is enjoying sunshine by now.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth,
where moth and rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:19-21

Here are some flowers from my garden. I posted the yellow ones that are just like the red ones here in the last post. I don't know what they are called. They grow from bulbs and I just love them.
I think the purple flowers are daisies.

I just noticed last night that there is a spider on the smaller purple daisy. Eek!

Today is just gorgeous here in Northern CA.

I made this little quilt a few years ago and its perfect for the Easter spring table.
I need to make or purchase some flowers to put in my blue vases. I have had these vases for quite awhile but never put them on my table. If I had the time I would make some pom pom flowers made with yarn.

I have been working on my living room redecorating it here and there for about a year. I am done now with the purchase of this new couch my husband bought from LazyBoy. The Urban Collection and the commercial with Brooke Shields she shows the Urban Collection. My husband is very good deal shopper and got $500.00 off this couch. Now a days you can't even hardly get a couch for less than $1000.00 but he got it way under. Good job DH.

I am very pleased with the way it turned out.

I might add we don't sit here unless we have company and then the family spills over into this area. Our living room is long and narrow and on the other end of this area is where we sit in a comfy Lazyboy recliner couch and have several comfy Lazyboy recliner's and of course a TV.
I think I have some photos of when we remodeled this house where we removed the fireplace to make the room bigger. It was so weird before with a fireplace separating the two rooms and you could only fit like 6 people on one side and 6 on the other and you could not visit with the others. It was driving me insane. So my father in-law had it removed for us.

I'm taking a break from quilting and I am making a garment (top) and just finished crocheting a shawl. I still have to attach the little roses and clovers. I love this shawl, Irish Rose Shawl. In this photo I had just stared, that was the first day of work. Such a beautiful color. I'll be sure to post the finished garment and shawl soon.

Blessings to you and your family.

  1. Such pretty flowers you have already, we have only flowering trees and daffodils so far.
Love your blue vases, they go great with your lovely quilt!
Good deal on the sofa, we just bought some new ones also and it is expensive to get a decent one. your quilt is perfect with it.
The shawl looks so pretty and delicate
